With a current population of nearly 25,000 people Squamish just isn't the same old town it used to be. I'm hearing this over and over throughout the community.
Something has been missing.
What has it been? Many people are telling me it's community that's missing. I completely agree with the folks who believe this.
And, what would make the difference to bring back a feeling of community?
I'll be exploring this question in the coming months. Quickly and off the top of my head I think what's missing is connection and caring. We've seen too little connection and caring as we come out of the global pandemic that COVID-19 brought upon us.
